What we may collect
Why we use it
Our main lawful basis is usually legitimate interests: running a consumer-facing website, understanding how it performs, and handling messages sent to us. If we ever need to keep or disclose information to comply with the law, we may also rely on a legal obligation.
Analytics and cookies
CareGauge UK uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand broad traffic and performance patterns. Cloudflare describes this as a privacy-first analytics service and says it does not use visitors' personal data in the way many traditional analytics tools do. Cloudflare also says its RUM beacon does not store data in the browser or use cookies or browser storage for that analytics collection.
We may also rely on Cloudflare for site delivery, email routing, and security. In some cases, strictly necessary service or security cookies may be used by Cloudflare or your browser session to keep the site working or protected. We do not currently use advertising cookies, social tracking cookies, or a marketing cookie setup that would justify a full cookie banner.
If that changes, this notice should be updated and any additional consent steps reviewed at the same time.
Who may receive data
How long we keep it
We aim to keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose. General enquiry emails are usually kept only long enough to reply and maintain a light record of the exchange. Technical and analytics data is retained according to the relevant Cloudflare service settings and reporting periods.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability.
To make a privacy request, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how a privacy concern is handled, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
